Hi Sandersonk,
Of course when you don't take your birth control (and on time) it decreases the effectiveness rate. If you usually have been taking the pill regularly and on time for the past three months, you should be OK. However, when you forget to take it or generally speaking, it may be a good idea to use a backup method like withdrawal, or a condom to safeguard against unwanted pregnancy. Keep taking your pills, and if you find you're having trouble remembering to take it, you may want to contact your doctor to help figure out a better method for you. A method is only as effective as the regularity with which it is used...
