Thank you for your question and for being a part of the EmpowHer community.
Your boyfriend is right, if you're having your period, it's unlikely that you are pregnant.
An eighteen day cycle is short, but only by about 3 days. Most menstrual cycles for adolescent women range from 21-45 days. Have you contacted your doctor? What did they say? If you're really concerned, call their office and ask what they think--just for your peace of mind.
Otherwise, keep track of your cycle on a calendar. If you go a couple months like this, or have other symptoms (excessive cramping, migraines, etc.) call your doctor. There is treatment to help regulate your cycle (ex., birth control pills).
