Hi folks, my name is Jose from Puerto Rico and I have CKD. In 2012 while working at a summer camp I suffered a minor heart attack and my blood pressure was thru the roof and had to be taken to a major medical hospital in order lower my blood pressure. I was in Stage 5 and most doctors wanted dialisys for me, bur bless my lucky stars I got a Godsend of two doctors that bet on wellbeing and fought with me to get stable. I was 22 so I was a special case so you might imagine a lot of nurses and doctors watching me everyday. I could not let this illnes win, and I beat it, its still with me but it will never control me. I'm 24 now, healthy, a well balanced diet ant at Stage 2 of CKD and not because my medication helped me, but because I did my part. CKD is a common condition and we can fight it and live a healthy lifw with it you just have to do your part. If you have a family member or if you have CKD dont let it defeat you defeat IT, have faith, be strong because we are all in this together. Dialisys or not and thank God I am not in that stage. So my friends, we are survivors and we can beat and live with CKD and never let it rule our lives. God Bless. :)
