The first article on HFCS that mentions the US subsidies. What benefits does a company receive to add HFCS into their processed food - if they weren't going to add any sugar at all in the first place? Does the government offer incentives to companies to use HFCS in the form of corporate tax rebates/cuts, etc? I ask this because it seems like it's in unnecessarily, almost like the government is forcing companies to use it.
