It's totally understandable to have anxiety and questions, and you are right to ask your doctor about them.

I have personally had the LEEP procedure. You didn't ask about it specifically, but I want to reassure you that it is not at all bad, and the recovery is not bad either. I felt a little weird for a couple of days but went right back to work 2 days after. There is a discharge for a little while which looks kind of ashy.
