Hi londona,
I am sorry that you do not have health insurance right now. We've been through that as well (pregnant with no maternity insurance), and I know it is super expensive.

However, you do need to see a doctor. If not now, please call first thing in the morning.

What you have been reading on the internet that your excessive bleeding could be caused by stress or losing weight is ridiculous, and I hope you are smarter than this! Is it denial; are you scared to go to the doctor?

Women can have irregular periods and experience some heavy bleeding. Women's cycles are regulated by hormones, and irregular periods or heavy bleeding can be affected by a sudden significant weight loss/gain or severe stress. That could happen.

Is that what has happened to you? Have you lost 20 pounds suddenly within a month? Have you suffered extreme trauma or stress this month? If no, then these factors are not relevant to your situation, and I am not sure why you are considering them?

- Bleeding for more than 7-10 days warrants a call to your doctor.
- Excessive bleeding defined by soaking through more than one pad or tampon every hour warrants a call to your doctor.
- You are experiencing BOTH, plus this has been going on continuously for not 7 days...but 28 days?!

I am sorry to be so blunt, but please stop denying your health and safety and get to a doctor tonight or in the morning.

Please let us know how you are doing; I am really worried about you.
