I have not found any information substantiating a vegetarian diet to improve dermatitis. I did find the possibility of dermatitis being (at least in part) due to yeast--in this case, limiting dairy from your diet may have beneficial effects.
I also found information about topical lotions and shampoos that a dermatologist can prescribe. Here is the information that I found. Hope it helps:
