Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. I'm sure many women would wish to trade places with your ability to not have periods for a few months, but I also recognize that the irregular nature of them may be unsettling.
According to the Mayo Clinic website, the threshold for concern regarding amenorrhea (lack of periods when you previously had normal periods) is three months. So if you go 90 days without a period, then you may want to go back to your doctor to find the underlying reason for missing periods.
Amenorrhea is not a disease, but usually an indication something else is going on. Many times, the reason is pregnancy. If you're sure you're not pregnant, then there could be another reason for your long cycles. From what I read on it, there are many things other than pregnancy that can cause you to miss periods. Your doctor can look into these things and rule out possibilities at your request or when you have reached that threshold. Here's the information I found, hope it helps:
