Not to sound too much like a commercial for Phillips Sonicare, but I have been using their toothbrush (I'm on my second model) for the past 10 years. I regularly replace the brush head every few months. The dental hygenist claims she can't tell I don't floss regularly. I luckily have good teeth to begin with, but I am horrible at remembering to floss unless I've had corn on the cob or something else that gets stuck between teeth. I am waiting for the price to drop on the Sonicare that comes with the sanitizing chamber--$140 is too much for me to spend on a tooth brush until the motor in my current handle dies. My last brush handle lasted roughly six years.
