I did speak with the nurse in my doctors office earlier today, and the doctor informed her that since I'm not having any pain and the discharge is clear that the odor is a normal. He said the odor stems from shedding the dead tissue and it should go away as the discharge lessens. He also said I could use an OTC Betadine douche if the smell is to bothersome for me.
