Thanks for your comments Susan. I too have been "pinked out" for some time and I'm a breast cancer survivor! This year I'm seeing more and more backlash against the "pink wave" and "pinkwashing" and more men and women raising their voices about the elements that don't contribute to helping people with breast cancer and that take away from patients with other forms of cancer. Hopefully campaigns like "Stand Up To Cancer" which support ALL patients will become the norm in the future and there will be more focus on using funds raised - by whatever means - for both research and actual patient support. It's truly heartbreaking to see people survive cancer treatment only to be destroyed by the financial aspects, and there is far too little attention paid to the many factors that cause this disparity in our society.
