I have been having problems since 06 and can't seem to get to the bottom of it. I went to my gyno in 06, didn't know what was wrong but knew I felt horrible. He ran tests and told me I was anemic(take iron). 1 yr later I'm in hospital bp was 91/36, hr 136, hct 20. Got a blood transfusion and a hemotologist. Iron IV's for a month. Had a CT scan and results were "free fluid in lower pelvis..some hypodensity in mitral cavity measuring 1.5cm width...hypodensity in left adnexa measuring 13mm". I was told not to worry about the hypodensity in adnexa because that is what happens with menstrual cycle. Didn't seem bothered with the hypodensity in mitral cavity either. I didn't get a copy of these results to see for myself until recently.(my ignorance) In 09 my iron dropped to 4 and iron storage 12 so I had to have a much stronger round of iron IVs which I had an antaphlatic? reaction to. I am now having problems in the female area and I am having a sonohystogram done and thought it would be good to give them a copy of the CT scan results. That is how I found out about the mitral cavity issue and didn't know if this is something that should be checked regularly or not.
