It sounds like you took the Pill at least 7 days in a row (of the new one) prior to having sex on day 8...you should be safe. If you have any concerns, you should always use a backup method for at least 7 days when you miss pills or change pills.
It sounds like you should be ok though. The only way to be sure is to see if you miss a period since anytime you have sex there is always that possibility. If you miss your period, take a pregnancy test to see the results. Can you keep us updated?
