Hi shamy,
The information for Clomid very specifically says that Clomid may cause birth defects IF taken during pregnancy. It is a highly successful drug that helps stimulate the ovaries to induce ovulation, and is said to act similarly to estrogen.

Don't worry---there are many drugs prescribed to women that are safe for use to become pregnant, but not during pregnancy. Your body changes once you become pregnant, and the drugs can pass to the baby. Your doctor most likely was keeping close tabs on you, and you had very specific prescription on when to take Clomid. It takes a woman's body 10-14 days after ovulation to become pregnant (fertilized egg to implant), so there is a lot of "wiggle room". You also are not harming your baby if you forget to take some prenatal vitamins!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Would you like more information on moving forward through your pregnancy (to stop feeling guilty for what you did/did not do perfectly to become pregnant). Ask any pregnancy-related questions you have!
