I am not exactly use what dates you are referring to for your current period, as you mentioned January 22nd as it beginning, and January 23rd as it ending.

However, you said, "that Wednesday I spotted"...are you referring to Wednesday, January 19th?

Are you then saying the 20th & 21st you had no spotting?

Women can have irregular periods, and have no medical condition. If your cycles are typically every 25-28 days (which is normal) and your period duration is usually 3-5 days, this is also normal. A 2-day period can be normal, too. If you are concerned that this is new for you, you can continue monitoring your cycle for the next month or two. If you are concerned, you can call your doctor for a check-up (when is your next annual appointment?), but a short-in-duration or light period does not usually indicate a problem without other symptoms.
