My doctor was planning on seeing faster drainage. He did not seem pleased after reviewing my latest IVP. He also mentioned if he would do surgery it would have to be an open pyeloplasty vs. robotic due to scar tissue. I wonder if he meant the scar tissue where the ports/camera go in or at my kidney. He made it sound like surgery was just a matter of time, that we would just keep on top of it. I believe i'm his first patient with nephroptosis. I feel like a guinea pig. I also have a significant health history of surgically corrected spontaneous pneumothorax on both lungs, mild mitral valve prolapse and TMJ. I am trying to fit the pieces together and wonder if i may have some type of connective tissue disorder. I am so medically complicated but greatful to be alive and know that there is always someone out there that has it worse.
