I have an objection to your comment regarding side effects of astragalus and I quote.. "possible drug interactions are not well known because there have not been enough scientific studies of the herb."
I believe it would be more accurate to say, "There are thousands of studies done on astragalus, for use both single herb use and in formulas. In fact, astragalus has been used safely and effectively with over 2000 years of documented use. Millions of kilograms of astragalus are sold each year for use around the world, with no serious ADR events. Scientific studies and clinical studies have been published in many respected medical journals however, most are written in Chinese and few have been fully translated, therefore it is difficult for those who do not read Chinese to fully comprehend the functional medicine aspects of this incredible herb. "
