I wish I could provide a "yes" or "no" answer, but it depends on your ovarian cyst, in regards to its location, size and other factors.
Did your doctor tell you that you should have it removed?
What have your doctors explained to you about your ovarian cyst? Is it preventing ovulation, or blocking or prohibiting any reproductive functions in your body? Have you been recommended for any type of treatment, or have your doctor(s) said that it may decrease your fertility?
These are all important questions to ask your doctor, as each women is different. Once you know specifically about your unique situation, you can better know if your ovarian cyst is causing any problems or not. Many women are able to become pregnant with ovarian cysts.
Please know it does take women 6-12 months to become pregnant. We are just told (scared?) that the second we have unprotected sex, that pregnancy will occur. We are surprised when it doesn't...cycle after cycle! Each cycle you "only" have a 20% chance of conceiving, and it is important to know how to increase the odds (frequent, unprotected sex, of course!). There are other ways to increase your chances, by knowing your body (tracking cervical mucus, ovulation predictor kits, ruling out medical conditions, taking your basal body temperature, taking care of yourself through decreasing stress).
