Thanks for your question, and for joining EmpowHER. You may want to call your doctor's office and ask what they suggest, or go to a local pharmacy and see if you can get PlanB or NextChoice if you really are concerned about getting pregnant. You may want to use a different method of birth control knowing you can't take your pills (condom, withdrawal, or abstain from sex, etc.). When you start taking your pills, you should use a backup method for the rest of this cycle just to be safe, but at least for the first week you are taking it. When on antibiotic medication, you are recommended to use a backup method of birth control (condom, withdrawal, or abstain from sex, etc.).
