Unfortunately Alison, your comments are misleading.
It is incorrect to say that lubricants which do not contain a spermicide are safe for sperm... or are "sperm friendly". There are a number of ingredients used in commercially sold lubricants that kill or harm sperm apart from spermicide (which is hardly used in lubricants anymore). The formulations of personal lubricant (including K-Y) have pH and osmolarity levels that hinder sperm movement.

There are a number of speciality designed personal lubricants that do not harm motility or viability of human sperm and they should be considered by couples who are trying to conceive.

Conceive Plus is a fertility lubricant that has clinical studies published by the American Society For Reproductive Medicine. http://conceiveplus.com The product is made by a lubricant company that supplies the United Nations - so they know how to make lubricants and are trusted!
