You are right that you would not have a possibility of pregnancy if you had sex (protected or unprotected...you did not mention) in January, and have had a menstrual period in February.
I am not sure how late your period is, but a normal range for periods is between 21-35 days (you count "day 1" as the first day of bleeding).
There are many reasons a woman's period may be late, including stress, recent illness...and taking Plan B can cause a slight change in your period (by just a week). If your period is within the range I mentioned above, and you have no problematic symptoms (such as any pain), your period will most likely start in the next week or two.
Please also know for future, when you have a health question and you are asking a medical professional for their advice, please be sure to adequately describe your situation. I actually do not know what "you know" means; I assume you mean ejaculate. I am also curious as you said, "because i am who i am, I decided to be extra cautious", but you did not mention being just "normally" cautious by having the guy wear a condom. So, I would assume that "because of who you are" that you would have used a condom, unless you think being extra cautious just means the guy not ejaculating near you?
Being "extra cautious" means using a condom AND the guy withdrawing his penis before ejaculation (called the "withdrawal method"). Condoms are up to 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, whereas taking the Plan B pill is only up to 80% effective.
