To clarify this whole period during pregnancy argument, a period is when you shed the lining of your uterus and your unused eggs.. Clearly you can not shed the lining of your uterus while you are pregnant nor is it possible for you to ovulate (produce eggs) therefore, no it is not a period. While you are pregnant, it is NOT possible to have a "period". Some people do have bleeding and occasionally it happens around the same time you would have a period, however it is most often caused by the placenta being slightly lower than it should be or by uterine stress.. Either way you need to inform your health care provider that this is happening. Sometimes there is no obvious abnormalities with the pregnancy other times there could be something wrong.
