For the record, you're not actually having what you people are referring to as a "period" if you are in fact pregnant. It is merely vaginal bleeding and has no relation to the actual menstrual cycle. Many women have some bleeding while they are pregnant, ranging from very light to almost period like.
In the future, I wouldn't refer to it as a period because it can be confusing to those who don't actually know.
