I have been using sound therapy for tinnitus and severely collapsed eustation tubes, that has become increasingly dominant since I started menopause 4 years ago. The sound therapy is nothing short of miraculous. Yes the cost for the little sound unit is $600 and you need to read the book that comes with it but the help, guidance and support you get is fantastic at no further cost. You must be patient and listen to the filtered classical music at least three hours per day but it is worth the relief. I now have only a very faint tinnitus and I can fly with no ear problems or pain, they unblock easily!! Cheaper than specialist visits...and it works. You can reduce the time according to your needs but you soon grow to enjoy the listening which I do while at work still able to communicate with everyone around me with the volume turned down really low...that works just as well, and I can hear people speaking and hold a conversation with people with the earbuds in. You just need to educate the people around you so they don't think you are rude. It works. Look up sound therapy on google. Oh by the way...I've read lots on menopause and tinnitus and hearing loss...there is a link..joy of joys!!
