It is recommended that women have a Pap test, along with a pelvic exam, every year until they are the age of 30. You can talk with your doctor about changing your Pap test to every 3 years, once you have a certain number of "normal" pap test results. However, it is still recommended that you see your doctor every year for an annual check-up, with includes the pelvic and breast exams.
Please know Gardasil does not prevent every type of HPV, and if you are sexually active and not using protection (such as a condom), you are still at risk for contracting HPV.
