Hello,
I can tell you as a fellow fibro sufferer, that I have a much harder time when the weather gets extreme in either direction. So if the weather gets real hot and humid or really cold and wet I tend to get into a flare. It is also important that you watch the meds you take. I know many of the meds I take state that you need to use caution out in the sun. I definitely agree with Christine when she says you may want to become very friendly with your air conditioner when it gets really hot and make sure you vacation in less steamy climates. I also find that humid is much worse then hot, so dry heat may not be as bad for you, but then again, everyone suffer's differently, and no two people are the same, that is why Fibro is so hard for people to figure out. I am not sure if this helps much, but believe me you are not the only one. I know this is what works for me:
1. I drink a whole lot, and never stay in the sun without sunscreen.
2. I am highly unlikely to be in the sun in the hours between 11 am and 4 pm unless I am in the pool or ocean. Again, very much covered in sunscreen.
3. Stay in the shade as much as possible if you have to be outside. Do not exert yourself, you will find that you are wearing yourself out with minimal exertion so be careful.
4. If you have any doubt, do not push it. Your body will tell you what it can handle, listen to it.

Good luck, Hopefully this is just a fluke that summer is not here yet and it is so hot. I will be crossing my fingers that is stays a bit cooler.
Gentle Hugs,
Kelly
