I agree with Alison, you may want to talk with your boyfriend and find out the nature of the calls and visits. If it's legitimately involved with the children, then you may need to call a truce with the ex-wife. She unfortunately comes as a package deal with your boyfriend, and will always be involved (it's her right) where the children are involved. Your boyfriend and her need to set up ground rules for communication so it is respectful to your current life together. It's really all you can do. And if for some reason it doesn't play with you, then you can decide to move on from it. The choice is yours, and we can't tell you what to do, but talking with them in a adult manner (avoid the drama), and figure it out so everyone, and especially the children, are happy.
