Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

I think it's fantastic to have quit smoking for a full 30 years! You probably lessened your risks to that of a lifetime non-smoker or very close to it so well done on that front!

Now that you have taken up smoking again, you're risking your health far more than you would have 30 years ago because you have a diagnosis of heart disease - something that smoking is directly related to.

But you seem to have gone from 10 a day down to two or three so you are weaning yourself already. I understand that the craving to smoke is there for some people for life (I fight this too, as a former heavy smoker of about 18 years) but if you can get away with two a day and remain sane, then you can do so with none per day.

Talk to your doctor about option to help you quit (medications) but obviously make sure they are safe for you to take. And consider joining a smoking cessation group or our own here: https://www.empowher.com/groups/Journey-Cessation-Quitting-Smoking

Again, telling a grown man that two cigarettes a day could kill him is a bit iffy! You have free will! But you are far better off not smoking than having these two per day.

Here's a very similar link for you to look through with smoe really great answers, take a look and let me know what you think!

Best of luck to you!
