Putting your finger through your vagina will not let you know if you are a virgin. The hymen, contrary to popular belief, is not a piece of flesh that completely blocks the entrance to your vagina-- otherwise, how would you menstruate? It is more like a piece of tissue in the opening of the vagina.
Although some women claim to see their own hymen, unless you're a gynecologist with stirrups, It is VERY difficult to check your own hymen. Riding a bicycle, other sports activities, or inserting a tampon can tear your hymen--some women are even born without a hymen. This doesn't mean that you are not a virgin, if you have never had sex then you are a virgin-- don't get too caught up in this Hymen myth.
