Thanks for your post-- Treating vaginal infections with over the counter medications can sometimes not help at all or even make it worse if you're treating the wrong thing. White, milky discharge is usually associated with something called Bacterial Vaginosis-- take a look at symptoms here:

A yeast infection usually looks more like cottage cheese instead of milk. If you can schedule an appointment with your doctor, that would be your best option so that you can not only be properly diagnosed but also given medication that will clear up the infection.
