During Pregnancy, weeks are counted a little different. By the time you actually find out your pregnant, you're usually 4-5 weeks along. The reason for this is because weeks 1 & 2 are when you're body is gearing up for pregnancy, meaning, you aren't pregnant just yet but you're body is preparing itself for the possibility of the sperm and egg meeting. So, in reality pregnancy weeks start on the first day of your LMP.
If you want to learn more as to what happens in your body week by week, do some reading here: http://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/week-by-week/landing.aspx
Also, keep in mind that your ultrasound is just an estimate of how far along you may be, it can be off by a few days but 7 weeks sounds about right.
