Thanks for your question. The answer is really based on the individual who is running. For someone who is starting to run- I would say about 13 minutes at most to start-- you should be able to run 1 mile under 13 minutes if you are a beginner. An Athlete can run for hours. Whether it's 2-3 hours for a half marathon or 5 hours for a full marathon. Running is something that requires lots of conditioning and strength training so if you are a beginner, you would definitely have to condition your body to run for hours before beginning to attempt to do it.
