Heartburn is one of these "generic" symptoms that can be caused by a change in your diet, as well as changes in hormones (including upcoming period or pregnancy). It does not indicate a pregnancy; the only indication of pregnancy is a positive pregnancy test and a missed period.
Most women conceive in 6-12 months (every cycle, you "only" have a 20% chance of conceiving!), so please be patient with yourself! Good luck!
