Hi sara222,
Yes, a change in medication, a recent medical condition, change in routine (starting graduate school)..these can all lead to subtle changes in your cycle. A subtle change really is a menstrual cycle that changes from 28 days to 26 days, or one that is typically 5 days that is now 2 days.
A period that is longer than 7 days in duration, one with severe pain or other symptoms, or a heavy flow in which you soak through more than one pad or tampon every hour...these are symtpoms in which you would want to call your doctor.
You can track your next period and take notice if it is back to your typical 28-38 day cycle, or it may take a cycle or two.
