Being 34 myself, I am almost dumbfounded that you never had a late period rather than pregnancy with your daughter. I don't think I can count how many times my periods have been late, early, etc. I think this is possibly why your doctor "fluffed" it off as nothing new.
Besides that point, you may want to wait another couple days since it appears you may be having symptoms of your pre-menstrual cycle and it may just be late. If it does not start in let's say another 3 days, try a home pregnancy test. The blood test may have been to early to detect pregnancy. For home pregnancy tests, I usually tell women to wait at least 7 days after a missed period (just to be sure their periods don't start).
