I used to be one of those people that stayed in bed and tried not to move. Then I joined a support group in my area and found that doing things and moving was the best thing for me. I take magnesium supplements and Vitamin D and if I feel a cold coming on I load up on the Vitamin C. I try to eat right. Not too much sugar and more healthy vegetables and fruit, Less meat. Organic whenever possible. I am on 90 mgs of Cymbalta but it really has no effect on pain and I take muscle relaxers but they seem to be just a band-aide. The one thing that has helped me the most is yoga. When i have a flair I rest a little more but do not stop moving because I just get stiffer and more sore when I dont move. It is always a battle but after more than 20 years I also found that a good attitude goes a long way.
