Unfortunately, the withdrawal method is not considered to be a very reliable method of birth control. Not only can you get pregnant due to preseminal fluid or not pulling out fast enough, but you can also get STD's if you don't use a condom. At 17, if you're going to make the decision to have sex--you should never be having sex without a condom.

While this method isn't the most effective, it also doesn't mean that you're pregnant. Pregnancy involves semen AND ovulation. So, since what is done is done all I can say is always use a condom and wait until you get your period next month to be 100% sure that you aren't pregnant.
