I recently started experiencing another word issue that is associate with Aphasia and since it only started a few months ago, which is when I made the choice to start smoking to replace quitting drinking, I can directly link the two. I have Hashimoto's so what is likely is that the smoking has increased my hypo symptoms significantly. Hopefully it is temporary as it is very scary mixing up words (e.g. thinking turkey but saying chicken). Blood tests tomorrow will help (not just TSH but the whole lot of them Free T4, T3, etc.). Here is a good website or two: http://brain.northwestern.edu/dementia/ppa/index.html or this is interesting http://vitamvas.tripod.com/brain.html
