Our adoption agency uses an online tool called childconnect.com. This has been a great way to confidentially stay in touch with our birth mother. They agency set up specific time we have to send pictures, but we can also send letters, videos, and even gifts through this service. One part we didn't think would be very appealing was the birth mother could also send us pictures, letters, videos, cards and gifts. This feature was very useful after our son got sick and the doctor was asking about family history.
We are happy we are staying in touch with our birth parents. We like the reminders we get from the system and how easy it is to load our updates. We understand our birth mother can view the information online but also get hard copy pictures or a lifebook.
I think our birth mother is very happy the agency allowed us to use childconnect.com . I know we are.
