I am 20 and have had the Implant for about 2 years now. When I first got it I had my period non stop for 6 months but knew this could be an issue so stuck with it. It finally ended and for the past year and a half I haven’t had one (which I always wondered was healthy or not...obviously not) it was then into the middle of this time I was experiencing uncomfortable sex definitely verging on painful. At some points I worried it was a medical condition wether it be ‘caught’ or developed, I had gotten checked out of fear and was told everything was fine. I (very) recently got my implant out and haven’t yet noticed a difference but understand my hormones will take time to adjust- it puts my mind at ease that there are women who have felt similarly to me and I definitely plan on finding higher recommended birth control in the future.
