You are diagnosed with hypothyroidism? This is what your concern is with your inability to deal with cold? If you went to see another physician and have questions, I would certainly take your medical records from the new physician and show this information to your treating physician.
I was trying to follow all your concerns but it appears that you are having a lack of adapting to cold and I am assuming cold weather but unsure.
