Hi Anonymous,

I recently have the diagnosis of anxiety. I feel fear, rapid heart beat, the feeling that I cannot breath and it landed me in the emergency room at age 34 thinking I was having a heart attack. I am still trying to manage this as my body is reacting without my knowing. I wake up in the middle of the night in full swing (punching) and I thank God that there is no one laying next to me as I think it would be considered abuse if I actually hit someone. After my fear from waking up, I cannot breath since the full on punch took all my energy.

I do not wonder why I feel this way. I am 30 days shy of losing my job, my house and my ability to survive. My head tells me everything will be ok, but someone please tell my body that since it obviously speaks another language. Stress related anxiety. Deep breathing and taking time to find a quiet place until you relax has helped me but certainly has not cured me of my anxiety attacks. Your not alone.

Recognize that you have an issue and seek help from your physician. Going through this myself, I know there is no simple answer, rather time will help us all.

Good luck,

Missie
