I would like to tell you flat out, if at all possible, get another doctor!!! Did the doctor do a fine needle biopsy on the nodules? If not ask why? I do not want to put thoughts in your head (I imagine they are there already) but if these nodules are malignant the sooner the treatment is done the better your chances are of a full recovery. In saying that, the good news is that a very very small percentage of nodules or cysts on the thyroid gland are cancerous but they do have to be treated especially if you are having pain and other problems.
