Yes, it is contagious. There are many different types of Hepatitis-- the most common ones being A,B, and C. All have different modes of transmission and different symptoms and levels of severity. The good news is that many of us have vaccines to some of the Hepatitis strands such as A (if you are in the healthcare field) and B (they even give these vaccinations to newborn babies now) but you need to be careful with Hepatitis C and others.
