Thanks for your question! Parkinsons Disease itself may not cause combative behavior but it's important to understand that it is a progressive degeneration of the brain's nerve cells and that among many other things, causes dementia and anxiety which can certainly mean that someone can and will be combative if they don't seem to recognize a family member or friend. 

So, in essence, PD doesn't make someone combative but it is common to notice that someone with PD is being combative particularly when other symptoms are at their peak.
