Hi omolayo,

Without having a little bit more information, it's hard to say what's going on. Does he feel pain in the back of his throat as well? How long has this been going on? Does it just look red and bloody, or is he actually seeing blood on his toothbrush?

Does he have any other symptoms?

Oftentimes, a red, bloody looking throat can be the sign of a strep infection. This can be the result of inflammation of the pharynx, larynx, and tonsils.

With a little bit more information, we can help to narrow it down!

Good luck,

Danielle.
