Thanks for posting. Having sex during your period can sometimes shorten it because you're actually helping your body "release" that lining that it's shedding during your cycle. This doesn't mean you're pregnant and it doesn't put your health at risk. However, many women get comfortable with the idea of having sex during their periods because they think they can't get pregnant that way. Although it's highly unlikely that you will get pregnant, it is not 100% true that you won't and taking your chances isn't worth it.
