Hi Stephanie,
I went on an elimination diet for 3 months (I got the info from a book called "Recipes for the Endometriosis Diet"). I didn't eat wheat, red meat, dairy, sugar or soy. Only after a couple of weeks of being on this diet I had virtually no pain. Its was very restrictive so I started to reintroduce some of the foods I'd been avoiding and in the end figured out it was actually dairy that was causing me the pain. So instead of drinking cows milk (I used to drink alot!) I now consume rice milk and/or almond milk. I love my cheese so I eat a tiny bit every now and then but no where near what I used to eat. I don't eat soy at all, only because of information I've read about it and the effects it has on your body. It's surprising how many products have soy in it, so I'm an avid label reader! :) I've never been a big red meat eater so I still eat the same amount I did before the diet (about once a week). I have a real sweet tooth so I still eat sugar (maybe too much sometimes). I also eat the same amount of wheat and am still pain free.
I this helps you and you can find a solution to your pain, all the best. Jo
