Hi jasminej,

Welcome to EmpowHER! I'm sorry to hear about that, it sounds like a nerve-racking situation! It's hard to know what's going on without having more information. Have you noticed any patterns about when your period is most irregular (or absent, rather)? Our diets, physical activity and stress can make our periods non-existent. Are you eating enough? Enough nutritious, healthy foods?

Here's an article about irregular menstrual cycles that may help provide some insight: https://www.empowher.com/menstrual-cycle/content/irregular-menstrual-cycles

Have you ever taken birth control or other hormones that may help regulate it, or change it in any way? When was the last time you saw your doctor?

Especially now that you are sexually active, birth control might be a good way to help regulate your period and keep the nervousness and guesswork from "Am I Pregnant" curiosities. Perhaps at this point, it's time to see the doctor again to make sure everything is alright. Keep us updated!

Best,
Danielle
