Michelle,Great advice, thanks for sharing! My lower back definitely suffers from some of these habits, and you're right-- they're hard to break! Comfortably sitting (slouching, some call it), is another culprit for me. Too much couch time unfortunately, doesn't do a body good.I recently got an exercise ball that works really well to help stretch parts of the lower back that are often tough to reach.
